Problem: When checking with a 2007/Openlimit SignCubes Outlook 2.5.0.1 prepared and signed e-mail (electronic signature), the recipient receives the view with Outlook 2007 an error message.
This raises the question of what a digital signature value if the recipient in the test receives an error message. Had he used another program, the test would be successful.
error message:
Note: When validating the certificate that was used to create this signature is having problems.
Note: The Certificate Revocation List needed to verify the signing certificate is either unavailable or no longer valid.
The manufacturer of the signature software has shown in his manual just this error condition, without going into details. -> Open Limit . The manufacturer refers to the similar procedure Outlook for 2003 and 2007.
S-Trust describes the blocking list problem as well. In the user to sign and encrypt e-mail with Thunderbird, Outlook 11/2009 is given in 2007 as, due to errors, not a fully supported client. Quote: "It is, therefore, the number displayed in your e-mail program validity of a certificate is not reliable."
It is just.
The block list updated OPENLiMiT SignCubes way, was successful, up to four probably outdated records of certification bodies, whose status is "Failed to Download". (German Telekom Root CA 2, Openlimit CA, Root CA 2 PN, Signet CA)
question: Who knows the trick, Outlook to use the updated CRL to move?
