Windows Live Messenger has stopped working

WLM has stopped working:
reports After some time of usage under Windows 7, the program with this error. After the Windows Application Error 1000 you get the following error signature: Problem signature

Unfortunately, I have been able to find a satisfactory solution for the web.
following workarounds helped me
deleting the registry entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ msnmessenger.
