The NLP toolbox includes techniques and intervention opportunities, allowing, if they fall into the wrong hands, certainly in a position to manipulate others. This can be the most benign case result that can be had a little advantage, in the worst case, but it can also cause more damage.
But, just like a knife that cuts the bread and the one on the other hand can be a dangerous weapon, behaves as it is with NLP. NLP is not dangerous and manipulative, but the NLP users the unfair intentions pursued.
Furthermore, should the term "manipulation" take a closer look. Is it already manipulation in trying by a smile and courtesy to gain an advantage? Then we manipulate all well. Do I need to only certain, in some people (NLP opponents) negative-assessed techniques? Where exactly is the line drawn and who draws that line?
Furthermore, the question arises: If one uses an NLP technique, with the consent of the client, to to help solve a problem and the same technique on another person in order to drag across the table, the NLP intervention technique, or even NLP now reject per se? we ban the knife?
Or should we not rather the one hand ensure that NLP gets only morally proper hands, what can be accomplished only with difficulty, and secondly that we educate about the possibilities of manipulation by NLP to to protect yourself.
I am today, at irregular Intervals, on my way, the integrity, as revealed by the manipulative possibilities of NLP .
to the motto: recognized danger, danger averted.
postscript: None of my posts purport to be complete and objective truth (which does not exist anyway). Rather, it is thought that correspond to my model of the world. Anyone who wants to make even a picture of NLP, I recommend first, the book list in the sidebar and on the other, gather information on a good NLP training centers on the possibility of training (I do not say now: "Click the advertisements on this site. You are a great way to get started immediately and be informed ", because you know that anyway).
